Gutter Cleaning

How Often Should You Clean Your Gutters?

Gutter Cleaning/Service
We will dispatch a 1-2 man crew with a fully equipped truck to clean/tune your complete gutter and downspout system. They will remove any debris found in the gutter or downspout system. They will re-nail gutter spikes, check the pitch, re-pitch the gutters (if necessary), and add fasteners as needed. For an average 3-4 bedroom home this may take up to 60 minutes of time. If more time is necessary, the crew will contact you, and notify you that they are in need of more time and will ask for your consent. If you have a larger home, then more than 60 minutes will be necessary to complete the scope of work.
Gutter/Guard Estimate
In some circumstances, our crew may find existing damages that are non-repairable. (I.E. bent gutters or missing pieces etc.) In this circumstance, we'll provide an estimate to fix the missing or damaged gutter system.
Our Goal
Our goal during the gutter service is to clean, repair and ensure that the gutters are in functioning order. Our crews are highly trained and are able to identify problem areas or concerns. Detailed notes will be provided on the invoice and emailed to you the following business day. All work is guaranteed for up to 14 days after completion of the work performed. If you see something that has been missed, or maybe your gutter is leaking, then give us a call!

Ice Damming - Gutters Covered in Ice

Ice Dam Removal, Winterize gutters, Gutter cleaning

An ice dam is a problem of house and building maintenance on sloping roofs in cold climates. Ice dams on roofs form when accumulated snow on a sloping roof melts and flows down the roof, under the insulating blanket of snow, until it reaches below freezing temperature air, typically at the eaves. When the melt-water reaches the freezing air, ice accumulates, forming a dam, and snow that melts later cannot drain properly through the dam Ice dams may result in leaks through the roofing material, possibly resulting in damaged ceilings, walls, roof structure and insulation, damage or injury when the ice dam falls off or from attempts to remove ice dams.

The melting of roof snow comes from two reasons: Heat from inadequate roof insulation and heat leaks, and inadequate ventilation. This condition is called a warm roof and the heat conducted through the roof melts snow on those areas of the roof that are above heated living spaces, but the snow does not melt on roof overhangs. Also, a small amount of ice damming can occur from the normal freeze-thaw cycle melts snow on warm or sunny days. This snow-melt continues to run down the roof on cold nights and freezes when it contacts the cold air.

We offer a safer option for removal of ice damming. We use a steaming process to help alleviate any further damage to your roof, or gutter system. By using this steaming process we are able to safely remove the ice damming from your roof. For further information, or questions about pricing please feel free to contact us at 614-989-3326.
